Remastered highlights Tennessee brands and their global significance through the eyes of key stakeholders and influencers. Each episode focuses on the personal narratives behind these brands and examines the cultural influences that drive their craft.
The first season of Remastered features six iconic brands: Jack Daniel Distillery, Barrett Firearms, Saint Blues Guitars, Prophetik Clothing, United Record Pressing, and Lodge Cast Iron.
All with deep, Tennessean origins, these six brands aim to show an authentic look into their companies and how they stick to their guns in an ever-changing world. From fashion to cookware to music, these brands embody what Tennessee brings to the world stage, not just in completion but in craft. With an eye for detail and a heart for doing things “the right way,” these timeless companies are anything but old-fashioned.
The first season was shot over the course of 2017 but the concept originated in prior years within the Tennessee Economic & Community Development department and in collaboration with Tennessee-based agency, Designsensory. The cornerstone question driving the content is a cultural one: what about Tennessee gives rise to the multitude of iconic brands, craftspeople and legendary characters for which we are known.
In true Team Tennessee fashion, we wanted to continue to stay ahead of industry trends as we establish new standards for outreach. This series represents a groundbreaking approach to showcasing culture that will establish a new level of creativity for economic and workforce development.
Remastered showcases our state's unbridled spirit to create the very best, by highlighting the very best that Tennessee has to offer—our people, our brands, our quality of life.
